Because life. \( =__=”)/
Sorry and thanks in advance! Wish me luck that I get through this because I desperately need it. See you on the other side!
I think I’m going to do a series of these for different fandoms
How To Train Your Dragon 2 - Astrid, Hiccup, Toothless
So I’ve officially entered the HTTYD fandom.
I watched HTTYD2 yesterday, and - vikings and dragons??? I HAVE NEEDS
SO, there will be some HTTYD fan art coming your way in the next little while. NO SPOILERS, don’t worry.
wait no bucky earbuds don’t go on your nipples
Din Din and Friggy Piggy in some hella rad shades diggin’ the sunshine
I just want to draw fun things for now
I struggle so much with drawing things from my imagination but I'm great drawing pictures I see. Any advise you can give me? Also I'm gonna show a person in my family your blog because they love Loki and Thor
Hm, that’s a hard question. There are only two cases I can think of why that might be: 1) you’re not imagining the pictures clearly enough or 2) you need to keep practicing.
#2 goes without saying for everyone in any art form, so I won’t elaborate…
#1 is probably more useful for you. I find that pictures I can see extremely clearly in my head are the pictures I can draw best and most closely to how I imagined it. And imagining/composing the picture in my head is the hardest part of drawing, for me.
I’d say, if you have a picture in your head, close your eyes and try to “see” the picture better. Try to see it as if it’s physically before you. Can you describe to yourself exactly where that person’s arm is placed, how that puppy is posed, where the lighting is, etc.? If not, then it can’t really be drawn because it isn’t exactly a picture yet.
tl;dr - work on making your imaginations more distinct, I suppose. Once you have a really clear picture in your mind, it’s not different at all from drawing pictures you see. :)
(once again, keep in mind I’m not an art teacher. This is something I made up that I find works for me. But I do hope I helped!)
Thank you so much for your message!! I really really appreciate it when people tell me about the reposts. If you see no credit on an artwork post that you recognize is mine, especially when the signature is cropped out (which annoys me quite a bit) then it is definitely a repost without permission.
But this one is taken care of; the user and I have talked. The person just didn’t know, and everything is good. :)
(on a happier note, I’m very awed/happy that people recognize my art without my signature ;__; so just telling me about this made me feel pretty good. Thank you poledanceloki *3*)
Commissioned by mari-the-mole: Heian Court AU Thorki
The most time consuming piece up to date. Also my proudest. :3 Thank you for the commission!
Just a bit of a psa from my blog.
Life is getting hectic (I have a huge exam I paid a few hundred bucks for that I downright refuse to do badly on) so my blogging is going to get sporadic. I might even go on hiatus for several days, just to let you know.
So I’m closing commissions until the end of July. For commissions, I also need to do a bit of price re-evaluation. These first two batches were a sort of “trial run” for me to gauge how much time I spend on a piece, how much I can offer, etc, so I did everything on a low flat rate.
To those who commissioned me these two months, thank you so very much!
Despite the exam I’m probably still going to draw quite a bit, because addiction. I’m going to come on every once in a while to post new stuff, but not much else.
Big heartfelt thanks to everyone who has stuck with me so far. I really, really appreciate all of you for letting me take up some space on your dash, and I hope to get better for your time!
